Center Cultural Guanin, Inc. was officially incorporated on May 15th, 2002 as a non-profit charitable organization, through decree No. 384-02. Center Cultural Guanin, Inc exists to provide support, encouragement, and direction to any and all youth of the communities in the Dominican Republic between all the ages. We believe in providing opportunities that will develop a caring attitude, leadership skills, and positive self-esteem. No one is ever turned away because of an inability to pay.

The Center Guanin's original mission was to "Give youth a chance to have some recreation and to see beyond the confines of their immediate situation and opportunity for everyone, by providing a safe caring environment and stimulating programs enabling some 1500 to play, learn, and develop skills to help them achieve their full potential as contributing adults, citizens, and leaders. Today, the need is still great for the vital educational, recreational, and skills development programs and services that Center Guanin offer in communities nationwide.

In large city centers, remote rural communities and continue to help guide young Dominicans toward responsible, fulfilling, and productive adulthood. Center established programs that reach out to young people, particularly those living in disadvantaged communities, in such non-traditional settings as shopping malls, schools, homeless shelters, group homes and on the streets. The ability of Center Guanin to mobilize resources in response to the individual needs of the children in each community is one of our organization's key strengths. Young people are our most precious natural resource.

Today, Center Cultural Guanin, Inc. is dedicated to ensuring that they are given every opportunity to develop to their full potential, so that they can meet the challenges of leading and building this country in the 21st century.
