Center Cultural Guanin, Inc.
was officially incorporated on May 15th, 2002 as a non-profit charitable organization, through decree No. 384-02.

The mission of the Center Cultural Guanin, Inc. in the Dominican Republic is to provide a safe, supportive place where children, youth and every body can experience new opportunities, overcome barriers, build positive relationships and develop confidence and skills for life.

Introduction:

Our tradition, throughout the years years, Center Cultural Guanin, Inc. have carried on a tradition of helping young people to discover, develop, and achieve their full potential as adults, citizens, and leaders by engaging them in activities that challenge and enrich their minds, bodies, and spirits and nurture their self-esteem. Our safe, caring club environments and enriching programs have enabled some three million young Dominicans to play, learn, and develop valuable skills for life.

Our Movement:

Today, Center Cultural Guanin, Inc. is a leading provider of quality programs to children and youth that support the healthy physical, educational, and social development of more than 1500 young people and their families each year.

We are an association of over 20 clubs located in 12 communities service locations across Dominican Republic. Clubs are in neighborhoods where they are most needed; in large city centers, remote rural communities and on the border between Dominican Republic and Republic of Haiti. In each club location, trained, dedicated staff and volunteers provide children and youth, ranging in age from preschool to young adulthood, with programs in physical recreation, technology, the arts, personal growth and more. Many clubs also provide meals, family support programs, emergency shelter and other supports to children and youth at risk.

Programs are offered primarily during the after-school hours when studies have shown that young people are most vulnerable to victimization and becoming drawn into anti-social behaviors. Many clubs also offer programs during evenings and weekends.

Summary

Our children are the future and nothing is more important than ensuring their safety and wellbeing. The Center Cultural Guanin, Inc., is looking out for the children of our community and we want to be able to offer our people and general a facility that our community can be proud of. We offer programs for ages in the different programs We assist the community through programs such as Education, Sports, Cultural, Tourism Activities, Donation, Shuttle Bus service for special occasions like New Years Eve parties, and bouncing castle rentals for Birthday parties. Our dream is to expand the Country keep our Children, Youth an Adult serve, from the all kind necessity. Help our people to grow up healthy and strong and never have to turn a child away due to space constraints. In order to fulfill the needs of our children and community we need a larger building for our home.
