The mission of the Center Cultural Guanin, Inc. is to provide a safe and supportive environment where youth can experience new opportunities, overcome barriers, build positive relationships, develop confidence, and skills for life.

Introduction:

Center Cultural Guanin, Inc. was created in order to help young people to discover, develop, and achieve their full potential as adults, citizens, and leaders. We do the by engaging them in activities that challenge and enrich their minds, bodies, spirits, and nurture their self-esteem. Our safe and caring club environments as well as our enriching programs have enabled many young Dominicans to play, learn, and develop valuable skills for life.

Our Movement:

Today, Center Cultural Guanin, Inc. is a leading provider of quality programs to children and youth. These programs support the healthy physical, educational, and social development of more than 1500 young people and their families each year.

We work in association with over 20 clubs, located in 12 communities across the Dominican Republic. Our clubs are in the most needy communities and neighborhoods in the country--large city centers, remote rural communities and on the border between Dominican Republic and Republic of Haiti.

Each club has a trained and dedicated staff as well as volunteers whom provide children, ranging in age from preschool to young adulthood, with programs in physical recreation, technology, the arts, personal growth and more. Many clubs also provide meals, family support programs, emergency shelter and other supports to youth at risk.

Programs are offered primarily during after-school hours. Studies have shown that young people are most vulnerable to victimization and being drawn into anti-social behaviors. Many clubs also offer programs during evenings and weekends adults literacy program

Summary

Our children are the future and nothing is more important than ensuring their safety and wellbeing. The Center Cultural Guanin, Inc., is looking out for the children of our community and we want to be able to offer our people and general a facility that our community can be proud of. We offer programs for ages in the different programs.

We assist the community through programs such as Education, Sports, Cultural, Tourism Activities, Donation, Shuttle Bus service for special occasions like New Years Eve parties, and bouncing castle rentals for Birthday parties. Our dream is to expand our country by providing our youth with opportunities they otherwise would not have had in a safe and friendly environment. Help our people to grow up healthy and strong and never have to turn a child away due to space constraints. In order to fulfill the needs of our children and community we need a larger building for our home.
