Severino is the President and Founder of Guanin, dedicating more than a decade of his time to improving his community. Guanin would not be where it is today without his vision, passion, and unyielding commitment.

Cled first met Severino in 2007 when coordinating a foreign exchange program in the Dominican Republic. As a businessman, his mission is to create viral awareness of Guanin and the work we do.

A 2018 graduate of UConn's Honors Program, Corbinian first visited Guanin in 2015 to get hands-on medical experience. Since then, he has led UConn's Bridge to Guanin program, sharing his love of Guanin with other students.

SHALEN PEREHINEC

Public Relations & Media Specialist

A 2016 graduate of Juniata College, Shalen visited La Piedra on Juniata's Cultural Learning Tour in 2014. Since then, she has visited four more times. Although she's thousands of miles away, she says Guanin feels like home.

Nick Arisco

Vice President

Nicholas Arisco is a doctoral student at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and helped build what is now UConn Bridge to Guanin. Nick's passion for improving population health together with his inspiration from the community of La Piedra, propels him to strive to meet community needs in whatever ways necessary.

ISHMAEL STINSON

Operation's Manager

A 2015 graduate of Central Washington University, Ishmael first visited Guanín in November 2017 with his uncle, one of Severino's friends. He was swept away by the community and love at Guanín and returned only a few short months later for his next visit.

Jordan Todd

Membership Head

Jordan Todd Recently spent 2 weeks in the Dominican Republic and instantly fell in love. He hopes to use his experience from college as a NCAA athlete where he was the head of multiple organizations. His passion for fitness and security are what pushes him everyday to help other's.

While looking for volunteer opportunities Debbie found and became interested in Guanin. With her love of the culture and for the people of Dominican Republic she aspires to be part Guanin's mission to help the La Piedra community.
